Where do you think the story happened? What past knowledge or experience helped you? What are some things that you notice about where the story happens? What colours do you see? What do you notice about the buildings? What do you notice about the weather? What do you notice about the streets? What sounds do you think might be present in that location? What aromas might be in the air? What textures might the characters be feeling?
If you were writing about the setting how do you think you might describe it? How would you make the reader interested in this location? Do you think the characters might have a special connection to this location? Does the setting impact upon the story?
